Netflix cuts 300 jobs

Netflix announced another round of job cuts after losing subscribers and competition. They cut 150 people in May and 300 in June. They said they were continuing to hire in other areas of the company.

Netflix has 220 million subscribers globally. Their top rival platforms are Disney Plus and Amazon Prime Video. Their recent losses were due to the price increases in the US and UK. They lost 200,000 subscribers earlier in the year.

They say they are not adding ads to netflix as you know it today. They're adding an ad tier for people who say "lower the price and i'll watch ads".
