On Sunday August 23, 2020, the Food and Drug Administration gave emergency approval for expanded use of antibody-rich blood plasma to help coronavirus patients. The FDA cited it benefits some patients. Trump calls for anyone who has fully recovered from the virus to donate plasma. There are reports that Trump pressured the FDA and CDC to rush a treatment before election day, but the FDA came out and said they weren't pressured.
